What if there was a way you could add one of the most nutrient-dense, healing food groups in the world and have your kids happily EAT IT and then ask for more?
Check it out:
YES. We’re talking about cultured foods- also called ferments. They’re a staple in our homes and that’s because they are a nutritional SUPERFOOD. One that can help your children fight off -or avoid altogether – the coughs, colds, ear infections, headaches, tummy-aches that seem to plague so many kids these days (you know- the ones that keep you up at night or have you racking up the sick days at work)….
In fact, researchers are calling ferments a ‘lost food group’. That’s because you’d be hard-pressed to find a group of people without a corresponding fermented food that is rooted in their tradition. Think: sauerkraut (Ukrainian), Kimchi (Korean), Miso (Asian), lassi and idli (Indian), and viili yogurt (Nordic), skyr (Icelandic). Unfortunately, many of these foods have disappeared from family meals altogether and what’s found on grocery store shelves is mostly a mass-produced, pasteurized (dead) version….
Luckily, it’s not hard to make your own. And, what’s even better, is you can tailor what YOU make to YOUR family’s tastes!
We know just how powerful it can be to eat fermented foods every day because we’ve experienced it, and so have others who have taken our courses with healthier, calmer, and happier kids (not to mention healing our own allergies, digestive disturbances etc!)

What the moms are saying….
Within a week.. her B.M’.s became easy and regular, she had no more fear of going to the washroom, and we even noticed a change in her food cravings as the cultured foods were slowly rebalancing her gut flora. It’s been several months now and we’ve had no more bladder infections and no more need for antibiotics!
I just set up my iPad in the kitchen and had Sherry and Adrienne lead me through the process!
“I had to share with someone! I made my first veggie ferments this morning (finally!). One plain one with carrots and zucchini, one with garlic and cauliflower added, and a third with curry. I just set up my iPad in the kitchen and had Sherry and Adrienne lead me through the process! My next project is Sauerkraut.
My Mom has been making sauerkraut for years, but she cans it (killing the beneficial bacteria) and intends to keep doing it that way. BUT–she said she’d give me tips on preparing the cabbage “just so.” That way I see myself blending my own family’s traditions along with an older (and more beneficial) tradition of keeping the ferment alive..Ginger ale and the other cultured drinks are on my horizon! Blessings to you all.”

I loved not only what you shared about the gut (which was amazingly
helpful), but the “mom-stuff” as well!
“Thank you BOTH so so so much for your wisdom and the FUN and inspiring way you shared it. I am truly grateful, and I think what you shared – and HOW you explained it– is going to make a BIG BIG difference to so many moms – and girls!!!
I loved not only what you shared about the gut (which was amazingly
helpful), but the “mom-stuff” as well, in terms of how to work with our children around this. So often, moms think they have to get their kids to “GET IT.” And if the child doesn’t embrace it, that’s a problem. But as you so beautifully explained, we are the ones who have to embrace it, model it and continue to implement … In a way that is kid-friendly, without compromising our ideals around their health.”
I haven’t had to take heartburn medication for months now and the reflux I’ve experienced for the last 5 years is gone!
Fermenting veggies is my new addiction, I can’t get enough! I learned so much from the divas in cultured kitchen 101 that I signed up for the full cultured kitchen coarse…I literally am addicted! I can’t explain how enriching it feels to be able to provide my family with nourishing probiotic foods that I have made myself – I could never have believed I could preserve foods without a ton of work and a ton of time that on top of it all are probiotic! We are wasting much less food and the diva method is so easy and quick that anyone can do it! I haven’t had to take heartburn medication for months now and the reflux I’ve experienced for the last 5 years is gone! Preserving veggies by fermentation is preserving and promoting health for my family! Thank you divas!!

Fermented foods are FOUNDATIONAL to many of the most efective healing diets in the world today- including GAPS and the Body Ecology Diet. Sally Fallon Morrell, co-founder of the Weston A Price Foundation and author of the classic traditional foods cookbook, Nourishing Traditions also emphasizes the importance of fermented foods to raising strong, vibrant and healthy children.
What you need to know about YOUR KIDS and cultured/fermented foods, is that there is a growing body of research that shows the epidemic of ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, allergies, asthma (and much more), can be addressed by rebuilding a child’s gut health.
Hippocrates said that ‘all disease begins in the gut’. And it’s where healing begins too….
